Arddangosfa yw Edau Cyffredin a ariennir gan Gyngor Celfyddydau Cymru. Mae’n edrych ar gysylltiadau dynol ag amgylcheddau naturiol. Mae Edau Cyffredin yn canolbwyntio’n benodol ar y syniad o gyd-ddibyniaeth rhwng y dynol a’r ecolegol fel ffordd amgen o’i chymharu ag goruchafiaeth ddynol dros yr ecolegol. Gan ddefnyddio mytholeg Gymreig i edrych ar gymeriadau symbolaidd sy’n cynrychioli ac yn ennyn parch tuag at yr amgylchedd ecolegol, y tymhorau, y goedwig, amaethyddiaeth, ffrwythlondeb a’r cynhaeaf, fy ngobaith yw adfywio’r hen thema o barchedigaeth tuag at y ddaear gan ennyn myfyrdod ystyriol ar gariad dwfn nid unig tuag at atom ni’n hunain ond hefyd at yr eco-systemau cymhleth sy’n hanfodol i les bodau dynol ar bob lefel, yn gorfforol, yn faethol, yn emosiynol ac yn ddeallusol.
Common Threads is an exhibition funded by the Arts Council Wales. Exploring human relationships with natural environments, Common Threads focuses in particular
on the idea of human ecological interdependency as an alternative to human ecological
superiority. Using Welsh mythology to explore symbolic characters who represent and encourage reverence for the natural environment; seasons, forest, agriculture, fertility and harvest I hope to revitalise the ancient theme of earth reverence, and open up consideration and contemplation on the subject of deep love for not only ourselves but the complex eco systems that are vital to human well being on all levels; physically, nutritionally, emotionally and intellectually.
