Valley of the Antics - Our very own stage at Secret Garden Party 2008!

The Valley of the Antics was consisted of two main areas; Valley of the Antics and the garden, and Antic Study. The valley was housed in a large big top circus tent provided by the lovely boys at Rostabout. The Antic Study was our acoustic and poetry tent, and was housed in a hand crafted Yurt that was a magical and potently spiritual place.

I was responsible for co ordinating the design, build, installation and breakdown of all Antic decor along with my companion and colleague Clemmie James. We worked with a team of 12 fantastic decor crew including Alex Parry, Theo Brown, Frannie O Donahue, Simon Mathers, Alice Begg, Kitten Grayson, Cecilia Carey, Oli Schauser, Felix Wight and some other brilliant creatures. Thank You for making the event such a success!

The majority of props and decor was hand made, such as the 800m of maximalist bunting, salvaged our bought cheaply. The event was a great success. Andre Marmot programmed a great list of musicians, while Rootatroupe delivered late night games; the tent was packed with revelers for the three nights and three days of the festival, and we’ve been asked back for 2009! Hoooray!
